Hi, I’m Jelly…
I started my yoga journey in my living room watching Youtube videos recommended by a friend. From that first time on my mat I was hooked. Fast forward a couple years I realized that yoga was a tool that helped me improve my anxiety and depression, and as a therapist I would often time recommend my clients to attend a yoga class or watch a video online. Then I got a crazy idea.. I would become a yoga instructor.. and here we are! Using my training as a social worker, I incorporate mindfulness techniques into my classes as a way to guide people on a journey to find peace, comfort, and connection.

Why dragonfly?
I have always loved dragonflies. When I was a child I loved watching them fly around with their quick decisive movements. Did you know that dragonflies can move at 45 miles an hour, hover, and fly all directions including backwards! So cool huh? Along with their amazing flying abilities dragonflies symbolize change. With a focus on change in our preceptive of the world and ourselves. A change that can lead us to emotional intelligence and understanding of life.
So when choosing a name, dragonfly yoga just made sense. Yoga showed me that change is necessary in the growth I wanted to achieve. I needed to change my preceptive of myself in order to grow on my mat. Through this change I gain more confidence, peace, and a deeper connection to myself and the people around me.
